Positioning Your Business & Defining Your Business' Identity
Definition of ‘Positioning’:
Establishing the identity of a product, service or brand and how it can be differentiated from their competitors, so how it is placed in a specific market and how it will be perceived by its
(potential) customers.
- You can also talk about your positioning, as being your ‘USP’, Unique Selling
Proposition, or your Value Proposition. - Another way of defining your positioning is by defining your Competitive Advantage, or Unfair Advantage in the market.
In this module you will be creating your business' identity, as in: ‘how you want to come across towards your prospects and customers’. You will compare yourself to your competitors, so you can point out the differences and benefits that your potential customers will have when using your product(s) and/or services.
