INTEGRITY – DIGNITY – HONESTY.
Those are values that I find of paramount importance in life and business. Can’t go without them.

Now recently, I asked a connection online how it was going, if it was going smoothly to sell her services, and this was the reply:
I get it… most people feel that selling and serving are mutually exclusive, but they are not!
They go hand in hand, first you serve, then (if it’s right) you sell, so you can serve them even more. There’s nothing wrong with that, you are helping people with the knowledge and expertise you have to offer. If they benefit from it, so can you.
Sales has gotten a really bad rap over the years (decades) and a lot of people seem to be under the impression that ‘selling’ is about pushing and forcing people to buy something, no matter if they need it or not… and that makes me sad and frustrated at the same time, because IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THAT WAY.
That’s not what I coach my clients on… I coach my clients to get a process in place that makes linking the right clients to their services easier, and that makes closing a sale more effortlessly, not to be sleazy or pushy and sell to everyone who bites.
On the contrary, selling is as much attracting as repelling. You want to attract the people you can help, but you want to ‘repel’ the people that aren’t right for your services.
By the way, after I replied the exact same thing to her, this was her response…
